Information on the Family Resource Center

What is the Family Resource Center?

The Family Resource Center is a ministry of Northfield Baptist Church, following the guidelines set by the Akron Food Bank. It exists to provide food and household products to those who are in need.

Who Can Come?

Clients should live in Summit County, and they must fall below the maximum income levels set by the Akron Food Bank.

WHAT TO BRING:

  • Photo ID
  • Document with current address on it. A credit card or bank statement, a utility bill, or a piece of mail from a government agency will work. The document must be dated within the last 60 days.

When You Come

The Family Resource Center is located in the Ministry Center, next to Northfield Baptist Church. Enter the church's parking lot at 311 West Aurora Road. A FRC member will come to your car and provide you with an order sheet. The order will be filled by a FRC member and brought back to your car. No clients are allowed into the building at this time.

If you are a new client, a FRC member will go through the paperwork process with you, collecting the needed information. Once you are in their system, you will be able to return every two weeks.
