What is the Family Resource Center?
The Family Resource Center is a ministry of Northfield Baptist Church, following the guidelines set by the Akron Food Bank. It exists to provide food and household products to those who are in need.
Who Can Come?
The Family Resource Center, as an agency of the Akron-Canton Food Bank, services the following Ohio counties: Cuyahoga, Summit, Stark, Portage, Medina, Holmes, Carroll, Tuscarawas and Wayne. Clients must fall below the maximum income levels set by the Akron Food Bank.
WHAT TO BRING:
- Photo ID
- Document with current address on it. A credit card or bank statement, a utility bill, or a piece of mail from a government agency will work. The document must be dated within the last 60 days.
When You Come
The Family Resource Center is located in the Ministry Center, next to Northfield Baptist Church. We ask clients of the FRC to enter the building during the designated service times, register their attendance at the registration window, and then pick up the distributed items of their choice.
If you are a new client, a FRC member will go through the paperwork process with you, collecting the needed information. Once you are in their system, you will be able to return twice a month.
