A church member is a believer who has committed to a specific local assembly of Christians who gather to hear the word of God proclaimed, worship, observe the ordinances, and pray; who commit to the "one another" commands of the New Testament, and advance the mission of Jesus all within the context of pastoral oversight and congregational accountability. Part of the process of becoming a member of NBC is completing the new member class.
